Let's pick a weekend!
First things first everybody... Let's pick a weekend for this trip!
Thinking about vacation time, school schedules, holidays, etcetera, I want us to pick a time everyone can make it. I don't know who has what planned, but...
I think I heard it mentioned that a weekend in August would be a good time, so I checked the Vegas convention schedule. No major conventions (20,000+ people) on two weekends: 16th & 17th or 23rd & 24th
So now all we have to do is decide when we want this trip to happen and then we'll go "All In"!
Below is a poll. How democratic...

Getting There - Airfares
So I looked and both weekends have about the same prices for airfare:
Chicago: about $295 round trip
St. Louis: about $350 round trip
Indy: about $175 round trip (Nice!)
Dallas: about $250 round trip
You can probably shop and find a better rate once we decide on a weekend, depending on where you fly from and how many stops you want to deal with.
Unless you really have to have one, Vegas is easy enough to get around without a car. Most hotels have direct shuttles from & to the airport and taxis or limos are readily available to take you wherever you wanna go off the strip. You can walk the indoor, air-conditioned paths between casinos to get to most places anyway. My recommendation: Don't rent one, save your money for the tables! ;-)
Next Step, Hotels!
